What new things are introduced in Android?

It was an event for the Android developers that made new updates and announcements Google made. Here is the list:

1. Android 13 Beta 2

The new and latest features focus more on the personalization of your devices. For example, say you can set the default language as per your requirement on the mobile application on your phone. Also, you can match more of the icons on the home screen, not only the one of Google.

Another focus of the feature involves enhanced security and safety, which means Android 13 will protect your privacy, automatically delete the history, and offers enhanced permission for the pairing of media and handy files and new notification permission.

2. Android Studio

Two Android Studio launches are Android Studio Electric Eel Canary and Android Studio Dolphin beta. There are new toolset advancements, let us discuss each one of them in brief.

Android Studio Dolphin allows the developers to view the composed animations and coordinate them with the composed animation preview. Developers can check how quickly the composable can recompose with the layout inspector. Recomposition countries and skip counts can also be checked in the component tree and attribute panel.

Whereas for the Android Studio electric Eel has a recomposition highlighter that visualizes which recomposables recompose.

3. Flutter 3

The launch of Flutter 3 was announced at I/O with the amazing features and support for the macOS and Linux desktop mobile applications. It also offers an improved firebase integration, the casual game toolkit, higher compilation speed on Apple Silicon, and other productivity enhancements.

Ever since its launch, Flutter was considered the developer's favorite platform for cross-platform app development, and the new advancements leave no stones unturned to satisfy the developers.

4. Live Sharing at Google Meet

The conference announced amazing features for the Google Meet and shared a new library they were working on. It allows a cross-platform experience with Google meets. The library called live sharing helps you build experiences in real-time, and sync content view with shared control.

5. Large Screens and Foldable

At the event, Google announced Android 12L, which are large screen and is more foldable. Also, Firebase provides better and more robust support for checking app integration with the pay integration API, alerts in the performance monitoring, features in-app distribution, and more.

7. Google Assistant

Google offers Assistant SDK that allows developers to take actions based on the voice commands to Google. Also, Google announced that it will increase its app action support to the Wear OS. The health and fitness indexes used in the existing mobile apps will be enabled on wear OS devices and allow the users to trigger them.

8. Goggle Maps reaches the next level

Google Map is becoming more immersive with demand and creates more rich and useful representations of the information. With the detailed information, navigation becomes much easy. Thanks to the advancement in AI that is taking the maps to the next level and exploring locations in more intuitive ways. With the 3D mapping and machine learning, there is a street-level image and a high-definition representation of the place.

Google also enlarges its eco-friendly route to Europe after USA and Canada so that more and more users can get carbon emission estimates.

9. Health Connect

Google announced the launch of health connect, the ultimate platform that allows users to track and explore their health conditions. It is a collaboration between Samsung and Google that helps users check their reports instantly.

It offers users complete details and information about their fitness journey and data. Health connect for now is only available in Alpha via Jetpack Health API.
